About KAMA

Practical skills. Real opportunities.

KAMA connects hands-on learning, mentorship and practical outcomes so emerging talent can move from potential to employment, entrepreneurship and professional work.

Who we are

An academy that leads to making.

Kora Africa Media Academy is designed to provide emerging South African and African filmmakers, creatives and aspiring entrepreneurs with practical, hands-on training. KAMA offers programmes in media, cooking, catering, baking, cake decoration and other livelihood skills that support employment, entrepreneurship and community development.

Filmmaking and media remain KAMA's founding focus. We are building on that foundation with culinary and enterprise programmes that respond to practical employment, business and community needs.

We are developing partnerships with recognised educational, creative, culinary and industry institutions to expand access to relevant teaching, skilled facilitators, equipment, mentorship and career pathways.

Our purpose is simple: help talented people learn practical skills, produce work they can stand behind and move forward with confidence and professionalism.

Our mission
